Any governmental institution established to care for society's less fortunate will of necessity revolve around and cannot be separated from all who would be involved. In the case of the Nevada Insane Asylum, there is a long list of what today we would call stakeholders, including the superintendents, elected officials, politicians, asylum caregivers, newspaper editors, the general public, and the patients themselves. With this web site, we are proposing to report on all of these characters with the hope to weave the tale of this institution.
